Frequently asked questions

Do I need to have lessons?

Yes you would need to have lessons before you were able to use the slope. The minimum standard for slope use is control of speed and linked turns. Whilst having lessons with us the instructor may permit you to practice on the nursery slope, at their discretion.

Can my friend teach me?

No, it would have to be one of our instructors for safety and insurance purposes.

What about equipment?

All skis/snowboards and boots are provided with lessons. Skis are included, snowboards are £2.

What do I need to wear?

Gloves and appropriate clothing for the weather. It’s not essential to wear ski pants and jackets. However your arms and legs must be covered, so jeans and a top are ok ... if it’s not raining.

Will my lesson go ahead if it’s raining?

Yes, the only time we would have to suspend lessons and recreational slope use, would be very high wind
